Start here Facebook Connect.
Idea would be to integrate Facebook connect into Geeklog *and* adhere to the terms of service. I'm not convinced this would require an entire summer so additional things to toss in would be:
- Twitter integration
- Article syndication using things like digg, Facebook, delicous, etc.
